Combo

Sixth edition winner 

Combo is a services cooperative and production company working in the field of films, audio-visual products and cultural activities in general. Combo originated from the experience of the association El Garaje: a shared workshop, theatre and studio, where different professional of the sector meet in small and local independent productions. A diversification of services and the network of contacts allows to meet the production and logistic needs of working on set in all its stages, from both a creative and technical point of view. The goal is to increase services by creating a film centre, a citadel of arts and crafts that concentrates work and simplifies its production steps in connected spaces that are shared by professionals and students wishing to enter the world of working on set.

ACTIVITIES

Combo’s main activities include:

• Film production and creation of multimedia/audio-visual products

• Partnership and coproduction with national and international entities

• Networking between workers and between professional and clients

• Provision of services and technical materials

• Training and professional development of students and young people on set

• Rehabilitation of unused city spaces

TIPS

In the first year of activity, Compo coproduced the feature film “Asteroidi” by Germano Maccioni, in competition at the Locarno film festival, and “A casa mia” by Mario Piredda, winner of the David di Donatello prize as best short film.
