Ninth edition winner
Intendiamoci is a cultural association founded in Modena in 2011, thanks to the initiative of a group of people motivated by the desire to enhance and consolidate their individual know-how, putting themselves at the service of a shared project. For more than 9 years Intendiamoci has been working, in agreement with the Department of Youth Policies of the Municipality of Modena, on the management project of La Tenda, a multipurpose cultural centre that can be simultaneously a youth gathering place, a live club, an event space, a venue for workshops and artistic residencies. During its period of management, Intendiamoci has overseen the production of more than 1500 events (including concerts, theatre shows, film screenings...), giving back to the community a vital and fertile space for the development and enhancement of youth creativity.
SPECIAL PROJECT 2020
Due to the characteristics of the services offered, the development of an innovative project could not ignore the presence of a 'live' audience, considered a fundamental and non-negotiable element of the activities proposed. The idea of introducing for the first time in the history of La Tenda an extension, and in this specific case, a resumption of programming in the summer months, made possible by the temporary easing of anti-Covid restrictions, took shape around this pivotal point. This summer calendar of events was also made possible by the creation of an outdoor venue in the square in front of La Tenda structure. In this way the cultural innovation project was expressed in the urban regeneration of a partially unused place, through a set-up capable of enhancing its characteristics and potential, with tangible effects and results in the immediate future (about forty events were held from June to September 2020), as well as replicable in the long term in the coming summer seasons.
