Maison Ventidue is an exhibition and performance space, intimate and domestic, home to Bologna artists who want to work and present their work in an environment that isn’t specialised and protected. Maison Ventidue is not a gallery, theatre or a concert hall. It is an actual apartment, a house, a place for exchange and experimentation in which to feel free to dare and reveal.
Artists are asked to develop a project for Maison Ventidue and a reason why: why that particular job, why that space. The objective is not necessarily something “new”, but rather something amazing.
Since May 2014, Maison Ventidue has organised artistic residencies for its HOMEMADE series, with which it explores the concept of spatial and relational limits through the performing arts and site-specific installations.
The inhabitants are always different and moving: the furniture is the result of the stratification of their stays.
ACTIVITIES
HOMEMADE Design is the new focus of the artistic residencies of Maison Ventidue’s HOMEMADE series centred on the conception, design and decoration of objects and furnishings intended for production.
HOMEMADE Design highlights the work of the creative process, from design to realisation of artistic products for production. The parties involved are the artists and businesses in the industry.
The artist attributes to the object the extra value of the residence at Maison Ventidue: an object for all houses first developed in a very special house. The company gains access to an exclusive project that ensures a strong market appeal.
