After a Master’s degree in Design and Communication and 10 years of experience in Visual Merchandising for fashion companies, Elisa Cavani established MANOTECA: a workshop that produces unique pieces of furniture that are fully hand-made and treated with non-toxic paints.
The aim is to transform forgotten items into objects that are able to tell stories, treating them like true works of art, with a strong aesthetic sense and giving full value to the original idea.
MANOTECA was established in 2010 and the team is composed by: Elisa Cavani and selected Italian artisans from the region.
PRODUCTS
The Manoteca workshop produces unique and original pieces of furniture, such as “Indoor”.
Indoor is a table made with two old outdoor doors mounted on an iron
frame. The shutters open like a real door, allowing a double function: when closed it functions as a dining table for eight people, when it is open it becomes a desk with pockets of recycled leather for accessories and a wooden drawer.
Other pieces produced by Manoteca are “Il Fausto”, “L’Ego”, “Il Convivio”, “La nuit de noel” and “Alto Fragile”
