les libellules was founded in 2010 by three designers, Alice Cappelli, Paola Parenti and Isabelle Guignand, an enterprise active in historical shop located in Bologna’s city centre, where they work in the field of design and prototypes, commercial promotion and trade, organize permanent and periodical workshops ((sewing courses, millinery techniques, embroidery, shibori, ecoprinting, in collaboration with similar Italian and international artisan professionals) and stylistic consulting activities. The Studio space is also a showroom and temporary shop for national and international artisan and independent brands, with a careful, focused and always included in a specific project.
The Studio is open to the public every day from Monday to Friday (10.00 am – 2.00 pm) for custom-made clothes, sale of the women’s les libellules collection, show-room space, child sartorial brand archive and any other related service.
PRODUCTS
The work team is known for having founded the sartorial baby clothing brand of the same name (in activity 2010-2018) characterized by certain ethical requirements and craftsmanship that have led the project to stand out from the others and to be appreciated also abroad (Japan).The archive of the baby brand is still present in the Studio and available in complete blocks (forty models divided between babies and kids, complete with champions) or in individual parts for children’s clothing brand development.Inside the Studio les libellules, seasonally capsules of women’s clothing are made, an expression of the suggestions and projects that the staff of libellules live and breathe. This can be translated into the use of decò embroidery, reinterpretation of costumes or the use of hand-printed fabrics coming form some visited part of the world. A stable and continuous collaboration is with the Textile Anthropology project that works with vegetable print fabrics (ecoprinting) with which we develop made-to-measure ceremonial dresses, unique pieces and interpretations closely linked to the precious alchemy that this technique allows.The Studio also works for personalized consultancy for the creation of custom-made garments (private clients, ceremonies, wedding dresses, costumes, evening dresses) and provides styling and costumes consultancy for theater, film and advertising (starting from bare/screenplay/ storyboard). The Studio produces work clothes and care styling are for companies that require specific image advice for own staff and decor (restaurants/bistros/care rooms for the person).
