The Orchestra Senzaspine , an association of more than 450 musicians under 35, was founded in 2013 by two friends, the young conductors Tommaso Ussardi and Matteo Parmeggiani, currently president and vice-president of the association. The mission is twofold and ambitious: on the one hand to return classical music to the love of the general public, and on the other to offer young orchestral players concrete professional opportunities and the chance to tackle the most challenging and fascinating symphonic repertoire. All of this will be done with a simple and engaging 'pop' approach, projecting the elegance of tradition into the future, and using the 'concert-show' formula to dispel the false myths that accompany classical music. Since 2015, the Orchestra Senzaspine , thanks to the winning of the Incredibol! competition, has had an official venue: the Mercato Sonato , the former local market, the scene of a unique urban and cultural regeneration project in Europe. The Mercato Sonato inaugurated its first season in 2016, establishing a dense network of collaborations and partnerships with numerous cultural and third sector realities.

Senzaspine Digitale represents the will to bring online services and contents that contribute to the mission of Senzaspine - also enlarging with virtual and digital activities and processes the practical possibilities of public participation in the life of the association and the cultural centre Mercato Sonato . Senzaspine Digitale is an online portal, an archive of audio-visual and multimedia contents organized by categories and typologies, developed starting from the cultural and artistic programming of Mercato Sonato and of the Senzaspine projects linked to it. These contents are created ad hoc by a production team in the field of new media, with the aim of developing and increasing through different languages the dissemination and expressive potential of the Senzaspine productions.
