IAAD

IAAD – the Italian University for Design was founded in Turin in 1978, after more than 40 years of activity, it has grown becoming one of the main poles of higher education in Italy and Europe. 

It is an incubator of talents able to promote an interdisciplinary vision of design and to provide students with the necessary tools to be an active and constructive part of the change that characterizes contemporary society.
The accreditation by Italy’s Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR), the cooperation with institutions, corporations, associations and companies, the evolution of the organizational structure and the creation of a international scientific committee represent just some of the cornerstones of IAAD’s development. Thanks to the agreement with the French group AD Education, today IAAD is part of a network consisting of 9 universities, 23 seats (2 in Italy and 21 in France), more than 8,600 students, 600 instructors, all operating within an integrated teaching system composed of over 40 majors of study between Bachelors and Masters Degrees.

ACTIVITIES
A teaching staff consisting primarily of professionals, an organic relationship with the business world and an accurate job search service are the successful elements for rapid postgraduate placement. Thanks to a wide network of relationships with the reference industries, IAAD has a database of over 5,000 companies, constantly implemented, which addresses the job placement office for the selection of young qualified personnel. In order to facilitate the entry of its students into the professional market, in 2017 IAAD has signed a partnership with The Adecco Group, international leader in human resources management. The collaboration includes a path structured in several steps that has as its final goal Career Day, a day of meetings between students and companies in which all undergraduates of the current academic year present their portfolio to an equal number of IAAD partner companies.
