DressCoders

Dresscoders is a young business with a 100%-female management team. It specialises in wearable fashion technology. The team is made up of 21-year-old fashion designers Alessandra Perlino and Serena Taglioli. The idea for Dresscoders emerged from the internship in wearable technology the two founders completed at a software, app and IoT development firm. They learned basic chemistry, physics and electronics, as well as the rudiments of Arduino programming. Dresscoders was born from this experience, uniting the worlds of fashion and coding.

ACTIVITIES
DressCoders’ 4.0 embroidery is hand-made with glowing yarn. There are different applications for this, from haute couture to interior decoration- in which optical fibre yarn is used- to the personalisation of promotional clothing and accessories with logos and designs for individuals and businesses. Alongside high fashion, the company has created a streetwear clothing brand with glowing embroidery: NLNM (“Nothing Less Nothing More”) offers a large catalogue of t-shirts and sweatshirts with motivational messages hand-embroidered in glowing yarn. The clothes were introduced on e-commerce sites in October 2019.
