Antonello Ghezzi

Antonello Ghezzi is a collective of artists created by Nadia Antonello and Paolo Ghezzi, both graduates of Arts Academy in Bologna (Accademia di Belle Arti, Bologna). They work with both scientists and businesses, bringing art to daily life through installations that combine technology, reality, and poetry. Among main exhibitions: Bagni Misteriosi in Milan, Gnration in Braga, Museum for Ustica Memory in Bologna, European Parliament in Bruxelles, Katowice, Artbab Manama (Bahrain), Wayfarers in Brooklyn New York, Tanit Gallery in Beirut, Sound Design Festival in Hamamatsu (Japan), Italian Cultural Institute in Athens, Usina del Arte in Buenos Aires, National Paining Gallery in Bologna, Moscow Biennial, Pitti Uomo in Florence, Sarajevo Winter Festival, Blik Opener in Delft, Arsenale in Verona and CIFF in Copenhagen.

ACTIVITIES
The artistic duo creates installations and artistic performances and their study is located in the Liberty Building of the Giardini Margherita.
The projects and works alternate with commissioned site-specific installations, designed specifically for the unique needs of their clients. The collective organizes cultural events or meetings, using art as a tool serving corporate communication. Their services include creative advice for the development of new products, the organization of workshops focused on art and design and the implementation of concepts for trade fairs. The official rooms, where exhibitions, cultural events and concerts take place, are located on the main floor of the study.
Mind the door! is an installation, also used for trade fairs, which consists of the opening of automatic doors only if you smile. Today it is permanently located in the church of Santa Maria Maddalena, via Zamboni 47 in Bologna. Not a simple object, but a way of thinking.
