Studioazue is a consulting and design company established in 2011 in Bologna by a team of architects, engineers, agronomists and sociologists with a professional experience in the International Cooperation sector.
The main field of expertise is the planning of community services with a special focus on waste management and sustainable urban development.
Social equality, economic sustainability and respect for the environment are the main inspirations for the projects.
They are implemented through an inter-disciplinary approach, promoting the participation of the community and full adaptability to cultural and geographical contexts.
The group shares a strong commitment to conduct research on informal innovation strategies and to develop “out-of-the-box” solutions for low income communities in urban and rural areas.
ACTIVITIES
Between 2011 and 2016, Studioazue participated in different project themes to promote processes of transition to low carbon societies.
Examples follow:
- Detailed Development and Reconstruction Plan of Al Nada Neighbourhood – Gaza Strip 2016 (ongoing);
- Feasibility Study and Preliminary Design for a Locally Constructed, Refugee Centered, Bio-gas
Digester – Lebanon 2015 (ongoing); - Other projects in Lebanon, Palestine, Iraq, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Hungary, Vietnam and Italy.
An operative hub has been active in Palestine since 2014.
