The Senzaspine Orchestra is an association of musicians under 35, now more than 450, established in 2013 by Tommaso Ussardi and Matteo Parmeggiani, President and Vice-president.
Senzaspine aims to return classical music to the love of the general public and to offer young orchestras concrete professional opportunities. This, according to a simple and engaging approach, relying also on the ‘concert-show’ formula. The Senzaspine have distorted stereotypes and revolutionized the common perception of classical music. Since 2015, thanks to the Incredibol Competition, the Orchestra has its headquarters at Mercato Sonato, theater of a unique European urban and cultural regeneration project.

ACTIVITIES
The Mercato Sonato is the heart of the urban regeneration of the Senzaspine Orchestra in Bologna. It is located inside the ex-street market of the San Donato – SanVitale Neighbourhood, as a covered square, home and main point for the meeting of arts and crafts. A breeding ground of artistic and musical contamination that nourishes culture with participation, inclusiveness and multiculturalism: together with our audience we build the sets of the Senzaspine works and the scripts of theatrical performances, involving and having fun with the most important events not only in Bologna but extended at national cultural scene. From Cajkovskij to Tonino Carotone, to Mercato Sonato the differences generate beauty. That spurious and unbeatable beauty, a source of inexhaustible energy, which never tires you.
The opening hours of the Mercato Sonato are from Monday to Friday (10:00am to 9:00pm) but if you want to see one of the many flash mobs, Conduct Us sessions or the orchestra’s informal moments, search for videos on youtube!
