Second edition winner
Giacomo Beccari, Gaia Calamosca and Alessandro Miti founded Ciclostile Architettura in 2009.
Ciclostile Architettura is a company established in Bologna with expertise in architecture and planning, with a special focus on urban regeneration, building recovery and participatory planning.
It lectured at University of Bologna, University of Ferrara and Polytechnic of Milan.
It was invited to take part in contests, workshops and conferences in Italy and abroad.
It exhibited at Padiglione Italia XIV at Biennial International Architecture Exhibition, (Venice), MoMA (NYC USA), MAXXI (Rome), I Biennial of Public Space (Rome), MACRo (Rome), MuSe (Trento), Centre for Mediterranean Architecture (Chania GR).
RECOGNITION
In 2015 Ciclostile Architettura was selected to represent the city of Bologna at SHENZHEN DESIGN AWARD; in 2014 it was chosen for YAP MAXXI and in 2013 for BELLA FUORI 3, a strategic project focused on urban interventions in the periphery of Bologna. Furthermore, Ciclostile Architettura came first in the landscape category of the NIB TOP10 Italian Architects Under 36 prize, and then in 2012 it won first prize in the Urban Regeneration Competition in the industrial area of Bargellino (Bologna). It also received the Young Architect Talent Award during the first edition of PugliArch Festival of Architecture.
