Rossella and Agostino were born and raised in Bologna. They studied abroad and they have taken foreign students as guests and this led them to offer everyone the splendid gift of cultural exchanges; in 2017 they standardised their service into a prototype and since then have kept offering it while also continuing their university education. Today Agostino is the web designer that takes care of all tech issues while Rossella deals with marketing, communications and customer service. Dinehome is aimed to all those who, like the hosts, call themselves "citizens of the world" and have that little bit of courage needed to either become guests of a perfect stranger - or take one as a guest!
ACTIVITIES
Dinehome is an innovative form of cultural exchange that completely changes the traditional idea of a host family thus making hospitality international and accessible to all: all that it takes to participate is having a welcoming kitchen. Italian families and foreign students share one dinner per week during which they discover a new culture and speak in a foreign language in a welcoming family context. Families and students are matched with utmost care: matches are fixed so that people can get to know each other gradually over several weeks thus setting up a relationship of trust and friendship.
